Elsie M. Snider, 91, of Perrysburg, Ohio, and formerly of Elmore, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Kingston Residence of Sylvania. She was born in Dowling, Ohio, on November 3, 1925, to Perzie L. and Lelia (Bloomfield) Hummel. She married Kenneth Snider in Haskins, Ohio, on November 19, 1949; and after 34 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on May 23, 1983. Elsie worked as a bookkeeper and payroll clerk for several area businesses including Owens-Illinois, Permaglass, Guardian Industries, Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant and Wheel & Rim and retired in 1990 from the former Crozier Construction Co. of Elmore, Ohio. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Genoa and the American Legion Auxiliary, Elmore Post #279. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed many activities throughout her life including boating, fishing, bowling, water and cross-country skiing, bicycling, walking, playing cards and attending sporting events. Survivors include her children, Lynette (Bill) Ludwig, Terry Snider and brother-in-law, Ed (Brenda) Thomas; grandchildren, Erika (Scott) Crago, Derek (Karen) Thomas, Kyle Ludwig, Christopher Ludwig, Kenneth Snider, Makayla Snider and David Snider; great grandchildren, Silas and Caitlin Crago, Blake and Joanna Thomas, Andrew, Jordan and Brianna Snider; and siblings, Franklyn (Joanne) Hummel and Donald Hummel. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Diana Thomas, and siblings, Lucille Doblinger and Jeanette Studer. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m., Sunday, March 26, 2017, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2017, at Trinity United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorials for Elsie be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church, 313 Main St., Genoa, OH 43430; or Ohio Living Hospice, 1730 S. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH 43614.
