Elsie Ann Sayen

Elsie Ann Sayen, 94, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018. She was born in Toledo, OH on September 20, 1923 to Ralph Deiter and Rose (Sautter) Deiter. Elsie married Franklin Sayen on June 28, 1941 and they lived a wonderful life together until his passing in January of 1998. Elsie retired from St. Charles Hospital in 1988. She loved to work in her yard with all of her flowers. Elsie is survived by her children, Tom (Carolyn) Sayen, Judy (Ron) Urbanyi, Linda (Brad) Bell; grandchildren, Dawn, David, Greg, Amy, Mandy, Michael, Bradley; great grandchildren, Tony, Andrew, Zachary, Kate, Jack and Mason. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Franklin; brother, Albert Deiter; and her just-like brothers and sister, Frank and Bill Schmidt and Rose Foster; and her wonderful Grandmother Anna Sautter who raised her. Family and friends may visit Hoeflinger-Shank Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave, Oregon, OH on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on May 26, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
