Elsie H. Greifelt ,99, of Perrysburg, OH., passed away on December 28, 2013 at her home. She was born on May 27,1914 in Toledo to German immigrants, Reinhold and Albine (Rasche) Heretin. She married Gunther H. Greifelt on February 17, 1934 in Toledo, OH., and he proceeded her in death. Survivors include her daughters, Marie Erickson of Silver Spring, Maryland and Trudy Robinson of Perrysburg, Ohio, 5 Grandchildren Lisa Nunn (David), John Robinson (Donna), Scott Robinson (Lori), Heidi Blozan (Will) and Kara McNab and 9 Great Grandchildren, Jessica Davis (Matt), Zachary and Emily Nunn, Trevor Robinson, Kyle and Cole McNab, Aven and Cora Blozan, Thomas Robinson and nephews, Otto and Mark Greifelt. She was preceded in death by her sisters, sisters Emma Gerken and Elfriede Heretin. Strangely enough her beloved canine companion Chloe died two days later. Elsie enjoyed cooking and family gatherings. She was a very good seamstress. She could often be seen tending her meticulous vegetable and flower gardens. She was always ready for a good time, and a good party. She is probably organizing one right now! She enjoyed traveling, especially to Germany to visit her relatives. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Much of her time was devoted to the Toledo Turners. She took part in its gymnastics program from childhood through adulthood. She loved the social events especially the dancing, and performed the German folk-dance the Schuplattler. In later years she enjoyed and helped with the German American Festival in Oregon.
