Elsie Cecelia Jackson Disher

Elsie Cecelia Disher, age 91, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19th, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Elsie was born February 3, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio to Frank and Viola (Dick) Jackson. On June 19, 1947 she married Joseph J. Disher Sr. who preceded her in death on September 18, 1989. In her younger years, Elsie loved to roller skate, but more importantly, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her eight children, Judith Frusher, Joe (Debbie) Disher, Robin (Steve) Marshall, Martha Kuchcinski, Richard Disher, Frank (Hazel) Disher, Norma (Steve) Peiffer, Tammy (Todd) Wodarski ; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Liggett, Mary Lou Boehm, Norma (Roger) Kleopfer, Jenny (Les) Williams and Pete Butler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her parents Frank her brothers, Oscar and George Bissett as well as her sisters, Gertrude Mohr and Clara Mahler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Neville Shank Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879) where her family will receive friends after 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Elsie’s honor to the American Heart Association or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
