Ellis Free Robinson

Robinson Ellis F. Ellis F. Robinson, age 83, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at Sunset House in Toledo. He was born November 6, 1924 to Ellis and Helen Robinson in Grove City, PA. Ellis served in the US Army during WWII in the 127th 2nd Engineer Combat Battalion. He married Mary Van Brunt August 28th 1948 in Grand Rapids, MI. Together they raised three daughters. Ellis received his undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and continued his education to receive his law degree from the University of Michigan. He joined the Toledo law firm with which he remained throughout his career. Ellis retired in 1991 from Ritter, Robinson, McCready and James as senior partner. His community memberships included the Kiwanis Clubs of Toledo and Durango, CO. He was past Commodore and longtime member of North Cape Yacht Club. Ellis was an amateur naturalist who loved sailing, hiking, skiing, and reading. Ellis is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Ellis M.M. Dick Mark Robinson, Nancy K. Robinson, and Susan A. Robert Baldwin; grandchildren, Robbie Baldwin and Christopher Baldwin; and 4 great-granddaughters. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Ellis
