Ellen Marie Renaux, 93, of Maumee, Ohio died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 in the Elizabeth Scott Care Center, where she had been a resident for the past several months. Ellen was born in Whitehouse, Ohio on June 27, 1915 to Harlen and Emma Dickinson Grove. She married Julius E. Renaux in Waterville, Ohio on October 17, 1936 and he preceded her in death on October 13, 1982. Ellen was a secretary for the former Marks Tractor Equipment Co. of Maumee for 20 years retiring in 1972. She was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting and researching the genealogy of her family. Family was an important priority during her life and she was always there to lend support and encouragement. Ellen will be greatly missed and memories of her cherished by son, Rogier Barbara Renaux of Walbridge, OH, daughter, Cinda Bernard of Maumee, grandchildren, Chad Dawn Bernard of Riga, MI, Josh Bernard of Whitehouse, OH, and great-granddaughter, Allison Bernard. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Rogier Jr., brothers, Sheldon, Wilson, and George Grove, sisters, Velma Wood, Grace Lefevre, Iris Zajac, and Shirley Grove. The funeral service for Ellen will be private with burial to follow in the Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Toledo. Memorials in Ellens memory may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Road, Perrysburg, OH 43551 or the Ronald McDonald House, 3883 Monroe Street, Toledo, OH 43606. The Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St. Maumee, OH 43537, is assisting the family with arrangements.
