Ella Claire Watkins

Watkins Ella Claire Ella Claire Watkins, age 84, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Ella was born on September 21, 1924 to Martin and Audrey Geist in Malinta, Ohio. She graduated from Malinta-Grelton High School, in 1942 and from the Toledo Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. An RN, Ella worked as a visiting nurse and later worked for 27 years in the childrens department of Jacobsons in the former Franklin Park Mall, a job that she truly loved. Ella enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandson. She was a longtime member of Pilgrim Church. Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Watkins; brother, Robert Geist; and granddaughter, Elle Renee Watkins. She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Michael Walker; son, Thomas Geena Watkins; grandchildren, Nicholas Walker, Rachael Walker; and Renee Watkins; and great-grandson, Chayce Walker A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday at Pilgrim Church, 1375 W.
