For those of you who knew Elizabeth C. Webb, you will not be surprised to hear she wrote a 4 page obituary - as her loving daughter, I will share an edited version: Elizabeth, 89, of Walbridge, OH passed away peacefully Thursday, October 14, 2021 at her residence. Her journey began when she was born June 27, 1932 in Toledo, OH to Robert D and Marcia (Shaw) Caswall. She had a close and loving relationship with her parents and considered herself very blessed. Many moments in her life impacted her faith, even though she was not aware of it at the time. She lived through the great war and the terrible Polio epidemic. She went to Sunday school and church, prayed, played and grew up. Elizabeth graduated high school in 1950 and attended Ohio University. She got her first job at Lasalles in Toledo. In 1954 she married Charles VanNorman Webb and after following a career in the Air Force they returned to Perrysburg, Ohio to raise their two daughters. In 1963, LOF transferred Charles and Elizabeth to Modesto, CA where they met new friends who had a big impact on her life. Church meant a lot to her and her faith in God was getting stronger. In 1971 they were again transferred, this time to Ottawa, IL where Charles was promoted to Plant Manager. In 1976 her life crumbled when her husband of 22 years suffered a major coronary at the age of 44. As devastating as this was, she felt the love of God on the way to the hospital and it got her through this terrible loss. Elizabeth returned to Perrysburg, Ohio, to help with her aging parents which she considered a blessing. Here she was reacquainted with childhood friends and was very active with Red Hatters, Meals on wheels, blood drives and Church. She loved her daughters, their children, their pets, jeopardy, crossword puzzles, swimming, knitting, reading and wine with dinner. Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Marcia Grobe and Kimberly (Craig) Nicholson, grandson, Chad W. Grobe, great grandson Reece Charles Grobe, brother Leonard Caswall and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Clifford Charles Grobe and brother Robert Caswall. Memorial services will be conducted on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 1:30 PM at St. Timothy Episcopal Church in Perrysburg, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Elizabeth may be given to St. Timothy Episcopal Church Perrysburg, The American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or the Leukemia Association.
