Elizabeth “Liz” Walland, 86, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, June 09, 2015 at H. B. Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. Liz was born on June 20, 1928 in Port Clinton, OH, the daughter of John and Mary (Yakabiso) Ludrowsky. She graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1947 and attended IBM school for a year. On May 16, 1953 in Port Clinton, she married Richard G. Walland and he preceded her in death on January 9, 2004. Liz worked for Philco and worked at Uniroyal as a line boss, where she retired from. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church all of her life, also attending school there. Liz was an awesome caregiver, she spent the majority of her younger years taking care of her daughter at the Cleveland Clinic. Liz was a strong willed spitfire at times and loved to stay busy. She enjoyed gardening, writing poems and she really loved Jesus. Liz was very invested in and cherished her grandkids, great-grandkids and loved to celebrate family events. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Daughter: Cindy Hoffman of Port Clinton; Granddaughter: Brandy (Brian) Holmes of Port Clinton; Great-Grandchildren: Brett Sisters: Ann Russinkovitch of Port Clinton and Mary McCartney of IL; Son-in-Law: David Stoltz of Myrtle Beach, SC. Liz was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Linda Stoltz, grandson: Ryan Stoltz, brothers: Cliff, Frank, John & Eddy Ludrowsky, sisters: Margie Adams, Lucille Ball, Agnes and an infant sister. Visitation will be 11:00am to 1:00pm, Saturday, June 13, 2015, in Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00pm. Interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial donations in memory of Liz may be given in care of the family.
