Elizabeth Beth Dreisbach Vogt

Elizabeth Vogt, 93, of Marblehead, OH, passed away, Monday, November 30, 2015 at her daughter’s residence in Worthington, OH. Elizabeth was born on January 16, 1922, in Findlay, OH, the only child of Harley B. and Araminta (Frazer) Dreisbach. She was married to Carl Joel Vogt on September 19, 1942. Surviving are her two sons: William D. Vogt of Port Townsen, WA and Thomas F. Vogt of Rootstown, OH and her two daughters: Susan Lonjak of Medina, OH and Janet Myers of Worthington, OH. She has 13 grandchildren;Naomi Hurlburt, Ben Vogt, Araminta Peiz, Joshua, Deborah and Jennifer Vogt, Jessica Sakie, Brett and William Lonjak, Suzanne Bilger, Bridget Lyons, Lauren and Heidi Myers. In addition, she has six great-grandchildren: Rowan and Freya Hurlburt, Lena Lonjak, Logan Cambrynn and Bailey Bilger. Mrs. Vogt was a graduate of Findlay, Ohio High School in 1939 and received a Bachelow of Arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in Dietetics. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta social sorority and Alpha Alpha Kappa Home Economics honorary. After college graduation, while her husband was oversees in England during WWII, she was a dietician at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, OH. After the war she and her husband and family lived in Stow, Ohio for 9 years, in Brecksville for 24 years and retired to Marblehead, OH in May of 1982. While living in Brecksville, OH she was in the Brecksville United Methodist Church choir, in many church committees, and in PEO. After moving to Marblehead, she has been active in the Trinity United Methodist, Huldah Church Circle, PEO and Thursday Study Club. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00PM, Friday, December 04, 2015 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH with visitation one hour before the service at the church. The family suggests memorial donations in memory of Elizabeth may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church or to Stein Hospice.
