Elizabeth Lee Soldwish

Elizabeth Lee Soldwish, age 96, passed away September 29,2016 in Richmond, VA. She was born Dec. 17, 1919 in Owosso, MI to the late Clyde William and Mina (Irwin) Patterson. Elizabeth attended Michigan State Normal College in Ypsilanti and worked as a library cataloger for Florida Atlantic University, Virginia Commonwealth University and the Medical College of Virginia. She loved God and passed that love on to her children. Elizabeth was devoted to her family and loved her pets. She also enjoyed reading, travelling and gardening. She is survived by her children, Eugene Edward Lockhart II and Candace Sue Erwin; grandchildren, Eugene Edward Lockhart III (Chip), Robert William Lockhart and Jennifer Lee Lockhart. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Edward Lockhart I; second husband, Wilfred Carl Soldwish; and son, William Clyde Soldwish. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.). Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimers Association (alz.org).
