Elizabeth A. Rettig

Elizabeth Ann Rettig, 81, of Williston, Ohio died Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the Luther Home of Mercy where she had been a resident since January 29, 1969. Elizabeth was born in Holgate, Ohio on July 28, 1937 to the late Lester R. and Emma A. (Benien) Rettig. Elizabeth was a graduate of Deshler High School class of 1956 and received an associate degree from Stautzenberger College of Toledo, Ohio. She worked in the laundry department of Luther Home for a number of years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Deshler and enjoyed her collection of carrousel horses. Survivors include her sister, Lois E. Bertels along with nieces, nephews and many friends at Luther Home. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donald E. Rettig. A memorial service for Elizabeth will be held at 10 AM, on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Luther Home of Mercy Chapel, 5810 N. Main St., P.O. Box 187, Williston, Ohio, 43468. Interment will take place at a later date in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Luther Home of Mercy in Elizabeths memory.
