Elizabeth C. McNair, 95, of Genoa, died Sunday evening, March 2, 2014, at the Genoa Retirement Village. She was born February 19, 1919, in Marion, Indiana, to Harry and Irene Shull. On July 1, 1937, in Marion she married Nathan McNair, who preceded her in death in 1973. Elizabeth worked as a nurses aide at the former Riverside Hospital in Toledo and had, at one time, worked for Franklin Dairy on Starr Ave. in Toledo. Elizabeth was a member of Harborview Baptist Church in Harborview, Ohio. She loved to cook, sew, and was an avid Bingo player and loved taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She said her most cherished time was Christmas of 2013, which she shared with her family. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Jimmie Lenora McNair of Genoa and William Claire McNair of Royal Oak, MI; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and siblings Sam Wilma Shull and Olive Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Nathan McNair, daughter, Pamella Caroline McNair and several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Saturday, March 8, 2014, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, with the funeral service to follow at 12:30 p.m. Interment will take place in Willow Cemetery, Oregon, Ohio. The family has suggested memorials for Elizabeth to St. Johns United Church of Christ Choir Fund, 1213 Washington St., Genoa, OH 43430; or the Genoa Retirement Village, 300 Cherry St., Genoa, OH 43430.
