Elizabeth Amelia Lehman

Elizabeth Amelia Lehman, age 95, died Monday, April 23, 2012 at West Park Place in Toledo. She was the daughter of Frank and Laura Meyer Snyder, born in Ballville Township, near Fremont, OH on October 4, 1916. Betty married Ralph at St. Joseph Church in Fremont on May 25, 1940 and spent 65 years together. Family was the most important thing to her and she loved hosting celebrations. Betty touched everyone around her and had a special relationship with her nieces, nephews, cousins and many others who were lucky to call her aunt as well. She was a member of St. Pius X Parish, previously very active at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Toledo and St. Alexander in Palos Heights, IL. When she wasnt coordinating a Blood Drive for the Red Cross, Betty could be found crocheting or creating personalized greeting cards for her loved ones on her computer. She was an active member of the West Park Place Community where she lived for more than 6 years. The family extends a special thank you to the entire staff at the West Park Place Community and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their care, love and support. Betty is survived by her daughter, Alice Chris Beins; sons, Franklin Elizabeth and Kenneth Linda; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Helen Russell Gonya; Rita Cletus Pete Nieset; Emerence Louie Grime and Sr. Mary Gonzaga Bathildes. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 5-8 PM at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 10:30AM at St. Pius X, 3011 Carskaddon Ave. Toledo, OH. A luncheon at West Park Place will immediately follow the funeral service. An interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Fremont, OH will be held at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you may honor her love of nature by planting a tree in her tribute.
