Elizabeth Margaret Lake

Elizabeth M. Lake, age 93 formerly of Maumee, OH died Friday March 7, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth was born on February 24, 1915 to George C. and Mary A. Reis Schuster. Her first job was with the former Hickcock Oil Company. She then attended college for 3 years and began working as an office manager at Fuller Real Estate where she worked her way up to vice president. Elizabeth was a member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church. In College, she became the first president of Phi Beta Kappa out of Philadelphia. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her children, Judy Lake, Richard Patricia Lake; grandchildren, Richard Mary Lake Jr., Julia Lake and Matthew Lake. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Alex Zedan, Braden Lake and Emily Lake. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Vern M. Lake. Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant, Maumee on Monday from 2-8 pm where services will begin on Tuesday at 10:00 am followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 am at St. Josephs Church, Maumee. A scripture service will be held at 7 pm Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
