Elizabeth Ann Geise

Ann Geise, 78, of Perrysburg, Ohio, formerly of Attica, Ohio, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Ann was born February 14, 1934, in Attica, Ohio, to Lionel D. and Clara C. Schoen Lofland. On September 3, 1955, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Attica, she married Thomas W. Geise, who preceded her in death in 1999. Ann graduated from Attica Local High School and St. Vincents Hospital School of Nursing in Toledo and for many years worked as a registered nurse for the former Drs. Drury, Emery and Rosso in Willard and the Willard Area Hospital. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg and the former Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church now Our Lady of Hope, in Attica, where she served on the Rosary/Altar Sodality. She was also a former member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Sebring, FL. She was a member of St. Vincents Nurses Alumni Association; and while living in Florida, she volunteered at a local hospital. Ann enjoyed traveling with her husband, Tom, cooking, and shopping and decorating for the holidays. She is survived by her sons, Gregory Allan Mona Geise of Galloway, OH, and Gary Thomas Christine Geise of Perrysburg, grandchildren, Heather Bunch, Zachary Geise, Aaron Geise and Shawn Geise, great grandchildren, Hayley and Tiger Bunch, and 12 nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Tom, sister, Norma Schaffer, her niece, Becky Schaffer-Moll, and nephew, Tommy Schaffer. A Memorial Mass for Ann and her husband, Tom, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2012, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 21 W. Perry St., Willard, Ohio, with interment at 1:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Willard. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon immediately following the Mass. The family has suggested memorials for Ann to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551; the American Cancer Society, 740 Commerce Dr. Suite B, Perrysburg, OH 43551; or to the donors choice. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH 43430, has assisted the family with arrangements.
