Elizabeth Duffey-Parker

Elizabeth-Duffey Parker, a long time resident of Ottawa Hills, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Ebeid Hospice. Beth was born in Toledo, OH to Richard and Bettie Duffey and married D. Allan Parker who predeceased her in 2003. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, the University of Toledo, and Union College. Beth, an employee of Sylvania Schools, fought hard and long, and her courageous spirit served as an inspiration to many. During her many years with Sylvania Schools, Beth was nominated multiple times and achieved the distinction of Educator of the Year in 2004. She was known for her determination, her fighting spirit, and her Irish humor, but most of all she will be remembered for her sweet smile. Beth was very active in the community.
