Elizabeth "Betty" Kemp

Elizabeth “Betty” Kemp, 82, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, OH. She was born on August 21, 1941 in Akron, OH to Stanley J. and Helen H. (Huchko) Sipka. On June 10, 1969 in Akron, OH she married Richard Kemp. Betty worked for Ohio Edison for many years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Colored Pencil Society (CPSA). Betty excelled in sewing, drawing, painting and cooking. Betty enjoyed traveling by train with her husband.

In addition to her loving husband of 54 years, Richard, she is survived by her children, Darlene M. (Charles) Corron-Hunter, Donald A. (Pamela) Gifford, and Kathleen S. (Kenneth) Mantell; grandchildren, Michele Corron, Samantha Gifford, and Katie Mantell; and great-grandson, Austin Corron.

Private family memorial services will be conducted at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Betty may be given to the Ottawa County Humane Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
