Elizabeth Bennett, 94, of Elkview, West Virginia, and formerly of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Sunday, June 14, 2009, in Charleston, West Virginia. She was born March 29, 1915, in Toledo, Ohio, to Karl and Agnes Kurtz Kleinser. On August 4, 1934, in Oak Harbor, she married Josiah Bennett, who preceded her in death in 1949. Elizabeth worked as a clerk for W.R. Thomas 5 and 10 Store and later retired from Bassetts IGA. Elizabeth was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Oak Harbor. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, traveling, and camping. Elizabeth is survived by, daughters, Margie Barrett of Oak Harbor and Ruth Ann Frankie England of West Virginia, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Josiah, daughter, Eileen, son-in-law, Lyle Barrett, sisters, Louise Taylor and Kathryn Boose, and brother, George Leonard. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2009, at Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2009, from 2-6 p.m. in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be directed to the donors choice.
