Elizabeth Banks

Elizabeth Banks of Maumee passed away peacefully on Dec. 26, 2009. The daughter of William and Elizabeth Huva, she was born Oct. 20, 1913 in Wauseon, OH. She married Leonard Banks on Aug. 17, 1937, they were married for 60 years until his death in 1997. Her family will always remember the love she showed them and her strong faith in God. Her home was always a welcoming place for one and all. She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Charles Lenz of Riverview, MI; son, Gerald W. Marie-deceased Banks of Toledo; grandchildren, Jerry Jr. Banks, Jeff Heather Banks, Julie Tipping, Jessica Jeff Weygandt, Bob Kristin Lenz. Beth Ed Gilbert; great grandchildren, Alex, Ashley, Augie, and Anderson Tipping, Peyton Bryce Banks, Maya Lenz, Luke, Cole, Paige Gilbert, and Wesley Weygandt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; parents, William Elizabeth; brothers, William and Henry Huva; and daughter-in-law, Marie Banks Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 5-8 PM and Wednesday from 2-9 PM at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St. Maumee. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Pauls Lutheran Church 112 E. Wayne St. Maumee. Interment will be at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
