Eleanore Minor-Burgie

Eleanore Ellie Minor-Burgie, age 82, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, February 8, 2015.  Ellie was born July 3, 1932 in Toledo, to Loretta and John Moesh.  She attended Notre Dame Academy and the University of Toledo where she received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Elementary Education.  She finished her career at Martin Luther King School.  Ellie loved to travel and also loved watching sports.  She was a devoted University of Toledo Rockets fan.  An avid bridge player, Ellie belonged to many different bridge groups.  She was also a member of Highland Meadows Golf Club. Ellie is survived by her husband, Fred; sons, Jeff and Jim (Paula); step-daughter, Beth (John) Ringger; grandchildren, Jordan, Mike, Matt, and Max; sister, Mary Schiel; and brother, Frances Moesh.  She was preceded in death by her son, John Minor. The family would like to express their appreciation to ProMedica Hospice and the aid workers who helped care for Ellie throughout her illness. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 13, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5373 Main St. Sylvania, OH.  Contributions in Ellies memory may be made to ProMedica Hospice, 5400 Harroun Rd.
