Eleanor Frances Zwyer

Eleanor Frances Recker Zwyer, 95, of Warrensburg, Missouri, formerly of Monclova, Ohio passed away Friday Sept. 21, 2012 at the Warrensburg Manor Care Center. Eleanor was born January 5, 1917 in Glandorf, Ohio, the daughter of Fredrick and Philomena Recker. She graduated from Glandorf High School then worked as a bookkeeper at Farm Bureau and a local bank before becoming a full time farm wife. On April 14, 1945, she married Howard Zwyer. They had three children; Jeanne, Jimmy and Julie. Howard and Eleanor enjoyed 61 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2007. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warrensburg. Survivors include her daughter, Jeanne Counts and husband , Jim of Warrensburg; grandson, Buck Counts and wife, Heather of Warrensburg; grandson, Will Counts of Hong Kong; great-granddaughters, Addison Marie & Kaelyn Eleanor Counts also of Warrensburg; sisters, Wilma Hohenbrink and Ruth Drerup both of Ottawa, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, Jimmy, daughter, Julie, brothers, Alvin, Elmer, John and Walter, and sisters, Mary, Margaret, and Luanne. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee. A prayer service will begin in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee with Father Keith Stripe as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Maumee. Pallbearers are Buck Counts, Will Counts, Dan Zwyer, Tom Klumm, Jim Recker, Tom Schmiedebusch, Mike Rader, and Al Siebeneck. Honorary Pallbearers are Barbara Schmiedebusch, Nancy Rader, Mary Jo Williams, Janice Siebeneck, Cathy Zwyer, Joanne Klumm and Jan Rothman.
