Eleanor J. Mrs. Rocker

Eleanor J. Armstead-Rocker, 66, of Toledo, Ohio went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on April 12, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Eleanor was born on April 13, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to Tommie and Ola (Martin) Armstead. In 1971, she graduated from DeVilbiss High School. On October 9th of that same year, she married the love of her life, Eugene Rocker. She prided herself on being a homemaker, always putting the needs of her family above her own. She loved reading mystery novels, newspapers, and especially her Bible. She also found enjoyment in word searches, journaling, and coloring books. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandson who remember her being their best friend and the glue that held the family together. Most of all, she will be remembered as a devout Christian. As a long time member of Anchor Body of Christ Church, where her husband serves as Pastor, she knew and had fostered a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ since August 1977. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years, Eugene Rocker; her four children, Shannon Burt (Eric), Shelby Rudolph (Anthony), Loren Meeks (Christopher), and Phillip Rocker (Kristie); her grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, Giana, Genevieve, Nastashia, Nevaeh, and Christopher, Jr.; her great grandson, Oliver; and her siblings, John Armstead, Jesse Armstead (Dorothy), Frank Armstead, James Armstead (Mary), and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Waiting for her at the gates of heaven are her parents, Tommie and Ola Armstead. Due to the current restrictions surrounding the worldwide pandemic, Eleanor will be privately laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery.
