Eleanor Stinson Menton, 86, of Perrysburg, Ohio died Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on January 27, 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland to Edward and Martha (Goldsborough) Stinson. Eleanor married her sweetheart, Denny Menton, Sr., who was a Senior Executive for Owens Corning Fiberglass. They lived in Brussels, Belgium for 5 years before moving to Perrysburg. Eleanor volunteered her time at CASA as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, Action for Newborns (State Board Secretary), Toledo Museum of Arts, Voluntary Action Center (Board). She loved representing children as a child advocate. Eleanor was a member of the Toledo Museum of Art and Carranor Hunt and Polo Club. She loved and created refined beauty, she enjoyed reading, gardening, building miniatures, drawing, needlepoint, listening to music, being with friends, and traveling with family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed. Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Katharine Stinson Menton of Santa Fe, New Mexico; son, John Dennis Menton, Jr. of New Zealand; grandson, Quinn Menton; and niece, Darby Carstarphen. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Edward Stinson, Jr. Funeral services for Eleanor are private. Arrangements were entrusted to Witzler Shank Funeral Home, Perrysburg, Ohio (419-874-3133).
