Eleanor Neva Madachy

Eleanor (Hart) Madachy, 87, of Toledo, passed on to her heavenly home in the wee hours of the morning on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.

Eleanor was a 1954 graduate of Whitney Vocational High School. After meeting her husband, Frank, they were married August 1, 1959. Shortly thereafter, they started their business, FM Maintenance and Repair, where she served as secretary and treasurer. They worked together every day until their retirement on January 1, 2005. Eleanor raised 5 children while working. She was the best, most caring mother, who sacrificed herself to make sure her children were put first.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Frank on June 7, 2021; sons, Frank and Leslie; brothers, Fred, Chuck, Jerold, Harold, Hubert, and Edwin Hart; and sister, Doris Kajca. Surviving are daughters, Eleanor (Donald) Avenelle, Julie Chio, and Mary (Kevin) St. John; and granddaughter, Amanda (Jamie) Dull of Chicago.

Family and friends may visit Monday, April 15, 2024, from 4-7 pm and Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 11 am- 12 pm at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. The Funeral Service for Eleanor will be Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 12 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
