Eleanor H Hernes

Eleanor H. Hernes (Suchodolski), 79, of Perrysburg passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born July 25, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to Anthony and Mary (Brudnowski) Suchodolski. She met her soul mate Eugene J. Hernes while working at Tiedtke’s, marrying on August 28, 1965, and they shared 55 wonderful years together. Eleanor was a 1959 graduate of Woodward High School, and a 1955 graduate of St. Vincent DePaul. Eleanor was an avid lover of all animals, decorating her home, and working in her garden, but she loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Her feisty personality will be missed by all that knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband, Eugene and her two daughters; Kerri Bies and Jennifer Hernes (Michael Plath); granddaughters, Heather (Mike) Krolak and Hailey Bies, great-grandson Elliot Krolak, and brother John (Rusty) Suchodolski. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mary Suchodolski and brother, Alfred Krentkowski. Services for Eleanor will be private. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133).
