Eleanor Mary Fillion, age 51, of Maumee, passed away at her home on Monday, September 3, 2007. She was born on February 17, 1956 in Dearborn, Michigan to Leonard and Eleanor Van Raaphorst. She graduated from Dearborn High School in 1974. Eleanor was the Director of Special Events at the Toledo Museum of Art, a job which she loved. She enjoyed tennis, hiking and spending time at her cottage on Lake Huron. Eleanor loved being a grandmother to her two special grandchildren.She is survived by her children, Courtney and Blake Fillion; life partner, Edward Van Leuven; Father of Children, Mark Fillion; Son-in-law, David Ricthie; Grandchildren, Luke and Maya; sisters, Donna VanRaaphorst, Janet Szopo, Cheryl Klug, & Susan Noland; brother, Derek Van Raaphorst and step-mother, Judith VanRaaphorst. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends and family may visit at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., west of Corey Rd. on Friday from 2 to 9 PM. Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at the Toledo Museum of Art Glass Pavilion, 2444 Monroe St., Toledo, OH 43620. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Museum of Art.
