Eleanor I. Druyor, 92, of Hermitage, Tennessee and formerly of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024, at Charter Senior Living of Hermitage. She was born in Bellevue, Ohio on August 14, 1931, to Walter and Laura (Domrose) Knopp. She married the love of her life; George Druyor and they spent many happy years together until his passing on July 11, 2013.
As an outgoing person, she joyfully served as Assistant Postmaster for many years. She was an animal lover, raising a menagerie of animals, and even spinning her own wool to knit hats and mittens. She was an avid reader, art collector, music and movie aficionado, and lifelong Lutheran. In her later years, she was much loved by the staff and residents at her assisted living facility.
Eleanor Druyor was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Druyor, and her parents, Walt and Laura (Domrose) Knopp. She is survived by her children Laurie (Kent) Krynock and Cameron (Peggy) Druyor, as well as five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Eleanor’s family will receive friends on Monday, August 5, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 AM, at Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, where she will be buried next to her husband, George.
