Eleanor V. Craig

Eleanor V. Craig, 87, of Toledo, Ohio passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the Ridgewood Manor. She was born on September 27, 1928 in Toledo to Stanley and Martha (Kolsinski) Hernacki. She married Jack Ellsworth Craig, Sr. in 1948 in Toledo and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2015. Eleanor was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church and worked for many years for the Toledo Public Schools and Toledo Hospital. She loved to grow vegetables and flowers. In her later years she kept a small garden below her kitchen window full of flowers and enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels. Eleanor also loved to bake and make treats for her family. Eleanor is survived by her children, Dennis M. Craig, Kelly E. (Linda) Craig and Kathleen M. Holt; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild expected in April; son-in-law, Frank Holt; daughter-in-law, Harriet Craig; siblings, Joseph Hernacki, Pat Shrewsbery and Eugene (Cora) Hernacki. In addition to her husband, Jack, she is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Martha; son, Jack E. Craig, Jr.; siblings, Joan Powell, Danny Kolsinski, James Hernacki and Delores Kamcza and sister-in-law, Mary Hernacki. Friends will be received on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 2:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Neville Funeral Home, Reynolds Corners Chapel, 5052 Dorr St, Toledo, Ohio 43615 (419-535-0951) where prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 10:15 A.M. with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 A.M at Little Flower Catholic Church, located at the corner of Dorr and Olimphia, Toledo, Ohio 43615. Burial will be held in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, National Multiple Sclerosis Society Northwest Chapter and Southern Care Hospice.
