Eleanor M. Cover, formerly of 2066 N. Leutz Rd., Oak Harbor, born to Frederick and Martha Blatt, on November 18, 1914, died at the home of her daughter, Mary, and son-in-law, Bev Bowling, on August 29, 2007. She lived in Oak Harbor until 1995 when she moved to Florida. She was a homemaker, farm wife, and upholsterer. Eleanor enjoyed bowling, golf, and cards while in Ohio. After to moving to Florida, she enjoyed being near her family and continued playing cards and Bingo.She was preceded in death by her husband, John Cover, brothers, Fred, Frank, Clarence, Wilbur, and Luther Blatt; also, sisters, Ethel Belyus, Elsie Dewitz, Erma Fulkert, and Esther Blatt.Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Mary, and son-in-law, Bev Bowling, two grandsons, Deron Lisa and Joel Kim Bowling and granddaughter, Dawn Yost; and five great grandchildren, Alex and Emma Bowling, Harrison and Jake Bowling, and Hannah Yost. Several nieces and nephews also survive her.A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 22, 2007, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, with visitation one hour prior from 10-11 a.m. Interment will be in Rusha Cemetery, Oak Harbor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VITAS Hospice, 533 N. Nove Rd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
