Elbert O. Elliott

Elbert O. Elliott, 91, of Toledo, Ohio passed away August 9, 2012. He was born to Cleo and Anna Oehlschegel Elliott on January 24, 1921. Elbert served honorably during World War II in Okinawa with the Marine Corps. He worked at Peters Stamping for 50 years as a Materials Manager and he was a long-time member of the Epworth United Methodist Church. Elbert was a member of Toastmasters, having served as a past president, and was an Elk at the Lodge in Maumee. He loved dancing and was a member of the Westchester Dance Club. He also enjoyed bowling, traveling and ice cream. Elbert was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Patsy Elliott, and his sister, Lois Daugherty. Surviving are his children, Thomas Elliott and Jeri Michael Piehl; grandchildren, Evan Elliott, Molly Piehl, Ian Wright, Jodie Piehl and Alexander Ally Piehl; brother, Richard Marilyn Elliott and sister, Ruth Ewing. Friends may visit at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 2 pm to 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 13, at 11 am at the Walker Funeral Home, with Reverend Bob Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests to those wishing to leave a contribution in Elberts memory please consider Epworth United Methodist Church, 3077 Valleyview Dr. Toledo, Ohio 43615.
