Elaine Marie Tafelski

Tafelski Elaine Marie Elaine M. Schwachenwald Tafelski, age 80, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, surrounded by her loving family. Elaine was born on September 28, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio. She was the daughter of Lester and Marie Sorgenfrei. Elaine was a proud member of the graduating class at DeVilbiss High School, 1946. She was a dental assistant for the former VA in downtown Toledo. Elaine was very active in the DeVilbiss High School Alumni reunion group. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. Surviving are her loving daughters, Diana Bob Lee and Cathy John Jambo; grandchildren, Sandy Frank Caroicco, Bob Lee, Jr., and Kim Lee; great-grandchildren, Frankie and Anthony Caroicco, Devin Lee, and Matt OConnell; and brother, Robert Evelyn Sorgenfrei. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles. Friends and family will be received on Friday, May 1, 2009 from 2-4:00 pm and 6-8:30 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where funeral services will be held on Saturday at a11:00 am. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Lutheran Church, 3215 Douglas Rd. Toledo, OH or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
