Elaine J. Street

Elaine J. Street, 78, of Toledo, Ohio, died Tuesday evening, November 7, 2017, in her home. She was born in Toledo on April 2, 1939, to Oscar and Nell (Sawaya) Draheim. On March 7, 1959, she married Winfrey D. Street in Monroe, Michigan, and after 57 years of marriage he preceded her in death on October 16, 2016. Elaine had worked for the Rite Aid Pharmacy in Rossford, Ohio, for the past 17 years and had previously worked for Libbey Glass in Toledo for 25 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Echo Meadows Church of Christ in Oregon, Ohio, and attended the East Toledo Senior Center where she loved to line dance. She enjoyed playing Bingo and traveling to the casinos in Rossford, Detroit and Windsor. Elaine would tell you that her most cherished times were spent taking care of her grandchildren. Surviving Elaine are her children, Diane Street (Gail Fancher) and Dean L. Street; grandchildren, Hunter McLaughlin, Jacob Saba and Drew Fancher; her siblings, Carol Lillibridge, Gayle Draheim, Jaclyn (Bruce) Howden, Jeri (Steve) Ames; brother-in-law, Ron (Loretta) Street, sister-in-law, Mary Street; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Alan and Richard Draheim. A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Sunday, November 19, 2017, with family greeting family and friends from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the American Legion Christ Dunberger Post #537, 4925 Pickle Rd., Oregon, Ohio 43616. There will be a time of fellowship and luncheon following the service. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, Ohio, is assisting the family with arrangements.
