Eileen M. Steiner Mcmullen

Eileen M. (Steiner) McMullen, 98, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at Waterford at Levis Commons in Perrysburg, surrounded by her family. Eileen was born, April 9, 1921 in Bromley, Kentucky to Russell E. and May B. (Botts) Steiner. She married Bryce H. McMullen on April 29, 1944 and they spent 71 years together until his passing on July 13, 2015. She was a member of the AAUW and studied French into her 80’s. Eileen enjoyed gardening and sewing and will be missed by all who knew her. Eileen is survived by her daughters, Karen (Mark) Freeman of Perrysburg, OH and Constance (Paul) Carpenter of Nicholasville, KY; grandchildren, Jennifer (Eric) Bultman, Bryce (Mariya) Carpenter, Emily Freeman, Thomas (Monique) Freeman and Charlotte (Taylor) Owings and great-grandchildren, Lucas and Katherine Bultman, Henry Carpenter and Claire Owings. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Earl, and her husband. Services for Eileen will be private. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). Memorial contributions may be made in Eileen’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice, the local Humane Society or the Chaplain’s Office at Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
