Eileen T. Eckel-Celek

Eileen T. Eckel-Celek, 85, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on July 29, 2014 at The Waterford at Levis Commons. She was born on May 12, 1929 in Perrysburg to Otto J. and Bertha (Getz) Schwind. Eileen was a lifelong member of St. Rose Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Toledo Artists Club. She enjoyed taking care of her large family and loved to cook meals for the neighborhood farm helpers. Eileen is survived by her loving sons, Roland J. (Cathy) Eckel, Gregory A. (Linda) Eckel, Brian R. Eckel and Jeffrey J. (Kelly) Eckel; grandchildren, Elizabeth E. (Brian) Hare, Rachel J. Eckel, Sara June (Jon) Dubois, Stephanie A. (Joe) Schumski, Matthew G. Eckel, Christopher Eckel, James (Michelle) Eckel, Heather Eckel-Tipton and Richard N. (Christine) Eckel; great grandchildren, Juniper Hare, Grace and Gregory Dubois, Joseph and Annabelle Schumski and Parker Tipton; siblings, Paul J. (Ardis) Schwind and Melvin J. (Anne) Schwind. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Eckel and Siblings, Dick, Mary, Art and Norm. Friends will be received on Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 (419-874-3133) where prayers will be held on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 9:45 A.M. A funeral mass will follow at 10:30 A.M. in the St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 East Front St., Perrysburg, Ohio. Burial will follow at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
