Eileen B. Coon

Eileen danced her last earthly dance as she took her beloved husbands (Carl L. Coon) hand and danced into his arms on September 1, 2015. She was born to Harvey and Ruth (Manthey) Boehk on July 1, 1921. Eileen graduated with honors from Libbey High School in 1939 and in August, married her high school sweetheart, Carl. Often referred to as a stubborn Dutchman by him and others who knew her, she lived up to that title, right to her last breath. Eileen and Carl were blessed with three children. While raising her family in Point Place, she worked at Stumps Shoe Store as a fitter and salesperson, then as a bookkeeper for Sears and McClain Trucking. After living in Lambertville, MI for 20 years, she and Carl decided to enjoy retirement in Largo, Florida where she resided until 2012, when she stubbornly agreed to move back north and live with her daughter and son-in-law. Eileen and Carl spent many years of round dancing and spent 60 years together before God called Carl home. After Carls passing, Eileen spent many nights playing bingo, because she didnt like being home alone. Left behind to honor her memory are sons, Jim and Jack; daughter Carole (Jerry) Wesolowski; granddaughter, Michelle (George) Roush; grandsons, Greg and Mike (Shelby) Conrad; 10 great-grandchildren and #11 due this month. Also surviving is her sister, Beverly Kroggel. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Toledo Humane Society or the charity of the donors choice.
