Midge Edwin F. Krall, age 82, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2007, at Lake Park Comfort Care. The son of Anthony and Frances Krall, he was born November 20, 1924, in Toledo. He was a graduate of Libbey High School, where he played halfback on the 1942 State Champion football team. Midge proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy and received the Purple Heart. After the war he earned his Accounting degree from Davis College and began his career as an accountant. He worked for Merchants Accounting and Tax Service for 40 years before retiring. Midge was a member of Gesu Catholic Church, Przybylski Post #642, Catholic War Veterans Logsdon-Walla post #639, 40 ET 8, and the Disabled American Veterans. He loved to fish and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Patricia; son, Steven Krall; siblings, Ray Rita, Jerry Helen Krall, Bernadine Smigielski, Pat Carl Kowalski, and Shirley Ron Sabin. He was preceded in death by siblings, Irene Gray, Casimir Krall, Chester Krall, Sophie Swartz, Rose Schwind, Henrietta Cookie Dugan and Anthony Krall. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. Catholic War Veterans will have a Rosary service Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. American Legion Post #642 will have a service at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday followed by a 40 ET 8 service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will begin with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Gesu Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Hospice and Health Care. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Nurses of Visiting Nurse Hospice & Health Care they were angels of mercy.
