Edwin J. Girardot

Edwin J. Girardot, 78, of Coldwater, MI and formerly of Temperance, MI, died Sunday, February 26, 2012 at his residence. He was born March 29, 1933 in Monclova, Ohio to the late Edward and Gertrude Rodd Girardot. He married Rachel Marie Wright on November 27, 1954 in Toledo and she passed away July 28, 1995. One sister, Barbara Jean House, also preceded him in death. A graduate of Whitmer High School, Eddie worked as a carpenter for his entire career with various companies. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, traveling, camping, bird-watching and his rose gardens. Eddie will remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather and for his fun-loving personality. Survivors include his daughters, Linda Frank Hyska and Sandi John Oleksiak; grandchildren, Nathan Jenny, Joshua J.J., and Hannah Hyska, Alicia Jim Lowe and Mary Beth Oleksiak; and great grandchildren, Jezirae and Abbi Hyska, Chloe Elliott and Devan Lowe. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 1, 2012.
