Edward D Sheets

Edward D. 'Skip' Sheets, age 82, of Toledo, passed away on September 4, 2013, at Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek. Mr. sheets was born in Toledo on August 3, 1931 to Edward J. and Sabina (Goodman) Sheets. He married Joanne Kokocinski in Sylvania on May 22, 1965. A Macomber High School graduate, Skip owned and operated Sheets Truck & Auto, and worked as a diesel mechanic, retiring in 1995. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling, boating, tinkering in his garage, and was a member of the Harbor View Yacht Club as well as the Toledo Sailing Club. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving is his wife, Joanne; daughters, Jodi Sheets, Kelly Borton, Mary Lynn Czech, Debbie Sheets; son Daniel Sheets; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his son, Edward John Sheets, and his sister, Shirley Sheets Royce. In keeping with Edward's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Services and burial will be private. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or a charity of the donor's choice.
