Edward E. Neff, Jr., 79, of Genoa, died early morning, Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon. Ed was born December 23, 1934, in Genoa to Edward O. and Thelma A. Hagemeyer Neff. Ed married Judy M. Nelson on November 26, 1960, in Temperance, Michigan, and she survives. In 1995 Ed retired from Sandusky, Ohio, Ford plant after working 32 years. He also worked as a mechanic for the former Walts on Route 51 in Genoa; and out of his home, he worked on cars, golf carts, mini-bikes, go-carts and on and on Ed was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and OSU. He enjoyed camping and the companionship of his pets. Ed loved his grandchildren and shared a special relationship with each one. In addition to his wife, Judy, Ed is survived by his daughter, Valerie Kevin Rhoades of Genoa, grandchildren, Jaime Rhoades of Bowling Green and Cody Rhoades of Pittsburg, PA; siblings, Evonne Shackelford of Millbury, Doris Greer and Jerry Sharon Neff, both of Genoa, and Diane Dan Petersen of Perrysburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Debra, son, Edward G. Neff, sisters, Sylvia Runion and Kathleen Caswell, and brother, Walter Junior Neff. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2014, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, Ohio. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Clay Township Cemetery.
