Edward D. Helmke

Helmke Edward D. Edward D. Helmke, age 79, of Toledo, passed away peacefully October 10, 2009, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born August 2, 1930 in Toledo, to Christopher and Bernice Park Helmke. Edward was a veteran on the United States Army and he retired from the City of Toledo Sewer Division in 1989 as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed fishing boating. Edward is survived by his son, Richard Melody Camp; sister, Garnet, and a very special friend, Wilma Many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Case; brothers: Don Paul and a sister, Jean. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6-8:00 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. A graveside service will be held Tuesday 11 am at Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd.
