Edward George

Edward W. Bill George, 84, of Maumee passed away unexpectedly in his home March 29, 2012. He was born in Liberty Center, Ohio on February 10, 1928 to Dr. Bernard and Margaret Miller George. On December 26, 1949 he married the love of his life, Margaret Cordes. Bill was a self-made entrepreneur who loved the outdoors. When he wasnt fishing or traveling in the motor home, he could be found tinkering with his cars and boats. He was a past president of the Maumee Kiwanis, a graduate of BGSU and a lifelong member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Maumee. His real love was his family and faith. Bill is survived by his wife, Marge; daughter, Jeanne Jim ODonnell; son, Mark; grandchildren, Erin ODonnell-Wolfram, CoreyAmanda ODonnell, Chelsea Jordan George-Brenner, Taryn, Lydia and Clayton George; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Burdette Frysinger and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St. Maumee on Monday April 2, 2012 from 5pm - 8pm. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church 112 E. Wayne St. Maumee, Ohio.
