Edna Dykstra Welch

October 2, 1933 — September 30, 2019

Edna (Dykstra) Welch, 85, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away peacefully and departed this world to be with the Lord on Monday, September 30, 2019 two days before her 86th birthday.  Edna was born one of ten children to Paul and Jennie Rhodes in Mustang, OK on October 2, 1933.  She is survived by daughter Karen (Dykstra) Walters of Alameda, CA and granddaughter Kari Walters, great grandsons Benjamin and Logan of San Rafael, CA; grandson Gary Walters of Alameda, CA; son Paul Dykstra, wife Denice of Canton, MO, granddaughter Heather Dykstra Colombo, great grand children Xander and Reigan, grandson Jeff Dykstra, great grandson Grady of Quincy, IL; daughter Patricia Joann (Welch) Cleveland, husband Kelly of Sylvania, OH, granddaughter Kayci Cleveland and great granddaughters, Virginia, Georgia, and Carolina of Atlanta, GA; and sister Jeanine Siebert, nephew Greg of Kingman AZ. Appreciation to Kelly, Joann and Liz Wallace (NM), Flanders Road Church of Christ, ProMedica Hospice, The Lakes of Sylvania Respite Care and Ryan Hobbs, Walker Funeral Homes of Sylvania, OH for loving care and assistance through her long illness. Wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, Edna will be laid to rest in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX with her husband of 45 years, Veteran Morris Allen Welch who preceded her in death, on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.
