Edna Mae Wamsley

April 30, 1937 — July 15, 2022

She lived the dash between birth and death serving the Lord with great joy.

She was born in Hawkins County, TN but moved to Ohio in her teens where she married Ezra M Wamsley, Jr, who preceded her in death. She passed away at her home with praying, singing, and the love of her family surrounding her.

Her greatest joy was serving and working for the Lord. She enjoyed mission work, teaching, praying, but most of all singing. Thru her music all those she met knew she loved the Lord. The legacy of her singing for the Lord is one that will not be forgotten.

Preceding her in death were parents, Norman and Wanetta (Quillen) Simpson, step-mother, Ora (Arnold) Simpson, son, Rocky L. Wamsley Sr. Sisters; Dorothy Penely and Cyretha (Ann) Matthews. Brothers; W.C. (Dub) Simpson, Milbern (Tip) Simpson, David Simpson.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters; Shilia Hale and husband Danny of McMinnville, and Dorsie Peterson with Gary McMurray of Port Clinton; son Norman Wamsley with wife Cheryl of McMinnville. Grandchildren Stephanie Stone and husband Jeremy, Daniele Brady, Regina Harrington with husband William, Rachael McBride with husband Chad, Rocky Wamsley Jr with Brittany, Brandon Hale with wife Denali, Bethany Cooper with husband Derrick, Jonathon Peterson, William Peterson Jr and Stacey Anderson. 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
