Mrs. Edna Nannette Nan Samsen, 93, died peacefully of natural causes on December 8, 2012, in Bellevue, Washington. Nan was born to William H. and Clara S. Heintz Boltz on June 20, 1919 in Addyston, Ohio. She earned a bachelor of arts from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. It was there she met her loving husband, Walter R. Jack Samsen. After World War II, they moved to Genoa, Ohio where they lived until 1957. While living in Genoa, they had two children, Michael and Mark. From Ohio, she and her family moved to the warmth of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After her husband Jack passed away in 1984, Nan remained in Florida, pursuing her passion for water color painting. Her last move was to the beautiful Pacific Northwest area of Bellevue, Washington. Nan is survived by her oldest son Michael, his wife Donna Vella and her grandchildren Christopher, Kathryn, Gregory, Kayla, and David. Washington St., Suite 1710, Chicago, IL 60602, [emailprotected] A funeral service for Nan is scheduled for 11 AM, Saturday, December 15, 2012 in Trinity United Methodist Church, 313 Main St., Genoa, OH 43430. Interment will follow in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa, OH. Arrangements are being handled by the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St, Genoa, OH 43430.
