Edna Mary Reed

Edna M. Reed, age 72, passed away Thursday June 16, 2016 at Toledo Hospital. The daughter of Erwin and Dorothy Heer, she was born March 11, 1944 in Port Clinton, OH. She was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School. At one time, she worked for LOF in the accounting department. Later, she operated Edgehouse in Swanton until her retirement. Edna loved to be outside working in the yard, either gardening or mowing her yard on her lawn mower she loved riding. She enjoyed baking, eating popcorn with extra butter and caring for her dog Gertie. She was very passionate about her love for Christ and it was evident in how she lived her life. She had a way of making everyone she talked to feel special no matter how Edna was feeling. She was an angel to those who knew her. She had a genuine zest for life and loved her family deeply. She will be sadly missed by her sister, Debra Heer; brother, Erwin Heer; nieces, Kelsey Heer, Susan Crabtree; nephew, Matthew Heer; sister-in-law, Linda Heer; faithful furry friends, Bentley, Mercede, Gertie, Odis, and Darby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; brother, Chuck; brother-in-law, Jon Beckman and her parents. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, June 24, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church 4441 Monroe St. Toledo, OH 43613. Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio 3100 W.
