Edith E. Seeger

Edith E. Seeger, 91, of Oak Harbor, OH died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born September 22, 1917 in Elmore, OH to Paul and Emma Knierim Nowak. On March 24, 1935 she married Ralph C. Seeger, and he preceded her in death October 13, 1983. Edith worked as a homemaker and also as a janitor for BCS Schools and St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge, for many years. Edith was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge, where she was a member of the Dorcas Circle and the sewing circle. Survivors include sons, Arnold Shirley Seeger of Fremont, OH and William Dawn Seeger of Graytown, OH, daughters, Beverly Paul Wiley of Russell, KY and Marcia Will Logan Seeger of Toledo, OH, daughter-in-law, Debbie Seeger of Oak Harbor, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchildren, brother, Andrew Nowak of Graytown, OH, step brother, Donald Davis of Genoa, and step sister, Lucille Wilburn of Elmore, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant brother, an infant sister, son, Kevin Seeger, sister, Lillian Brillhart, brother, Harmon Nowak, and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2009 at St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge with Reverend Keith Baker officiating. Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2009 from 2-8 p.m. with family present 2-4 6-8 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Oak Harbor. Interment will be in Elliston Cemetery, Graytown. Memorial contributions for Edith may be made to St. John Lutheran Church Carpet Fund, Rocky Ridge, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or the Rocky Ridge Volunteer Fire Department.
