Edith Lucille Mizener

Edith Lucille Mizener, 90, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. She was born on September 21, 1917 to Fred and Lydia Gebhardt Schrader. She married Jack W. Mizener and he preceded her in death on October 30, 1959. She retired after working many years for Fredericks Insurance Agency. Edith was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton where she volunteered some of her time in the church office. Edith also volunteered to assist with Meals on Wheels and making calls for the American Red Cross Blood Mobiles. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and playing her organ. Survivors include: Daughters: Barbara Coonrad, Jane Ohm, Patricia Stephen Horn all of Port Clinton, OH; Sons: Karl Jill Mizener of Strongsville, OH, James Suzanne Mizener of Port Clinton, OH. Edith was also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant brother LeRoy. Visitation will be from 2-4PM & 6-8PM, Tuesday, July 1, 2008 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Bruce Batchelor-Glader at 10:00AM, Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions in Ediths memory can be given to Trinity United Methodist Church, Riverview Healthcare Campus or Stein Hospice of Sandusky, OH.
