Edith Anita Janick

Edith A. Janick, 94, of Millbury, Ohio, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Ayden of Oregon, where she had resided for the past 12 years. She was born November 16, 1931, in Curtice, Ohio, to Charles and Elva (Huss) Davis. Edith grew up in the family home alongside her siblings, Clifford, Charles, and Marjorie.

During the 1940s, Edith was employed at Tiedtke's Department Store. On October 4, 1971, she married Richard Janick. Edith enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, and dearly treasured her pet cats and birds. She especially valued the friendships she made while living at Ayden of Oregon.

Edith is survived by her children, Alva, Anita, Barbara, Joseph, Fred, Sheryl, William (Bill), Merle, Rosilie, Donna, Peter, James, Katherine, Edward (Eddie), and John along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Private funeral services will be held. Preferred memorials may be made to the animal shelter of the donor's choice, or the Alzheimer's Association. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home is assisting the family.
