Edith L. Ferrenberg

Edith L. Ferrenberg, 89, formerly of Maumee-Western Road, Monclova, OH passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2007 in the Foundation Park Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 2, 1918 in Monclova, OH to Thomas Franklin and Estella Brown Harkcom. Edith was a 1936 graduate of Monclova High School. She was employed as a cook for Waterville Elementary for 23 years, retiring in 1983. Edith was a 4-H Leader for 18 years, active with the Republican Club, Lucas County home extension club and Olive Branch. She was also fond of gardening. A loving mother, grandmother and friend, Edith will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The widow of Walter Ferrenberg who passed away in 1976, Edith is survived by her loving family, daughters, Louise Bedee of Maumee and Ginny Ferrenberg of Boston, MA; son, Tom Ferrenberg of Walbridge, OH; granddaughter, Dawn Ken Liebich of Clearwater, FL; special friend Elaine Hunt and beloved dog, Penny. In addition to her parents and husband, Edith was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Harkcom and sister, Mabel Harkcom. Family and friends may visit Friday from 2-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
